Tui May Create Adventure Travel Outlets For Your Adventure Travel Gear
Tui travel is seriously considering the idea of creating adventure travel retail outlets after they have just signed a joint venture with the Melbourne-based adventure tour operator Intrepid Travel. There are already 12 Intrepid Travel stores in Australia that have been doing good business so Tui is looking at copying that model and building on it.
Intrepid has one store in Islington in the UK, but Tui said that at this point they are not looking at expanding the concept in that country. Tui will attempt to build on the strengths of both firms going forward to improve their multi-channel distribution, product, destinations, and source markets to create a real leadership brand in global adventure travel. Future expansion would be focused on the US and Asia markets where Intrepid already has a strong foothold.
